Travel FAQ

Answers to your eSIM travel questions.

What is eSIM?
A digital SIM card built into your phone. Download carrier plans via QR code instead of inserting a physical card. Supported by iPhone XS+, Samsung S20+, Pixel 3+.
Can I keep my home number while using eSIM?
Yes! Keep home SIM for calls and texts, use eSIM for local data. This dual-SIM setup is the most popular traveler configuration.
Does eSIM work across all of Europe?
Regional plans cover all 27 EU member states. EU Roam Like at Home ensures no extra charges. Many plans also include Switzerland, Norway, and the UK.
How much data do I need for a 2-week trip?
For typical tourist use (maps, social media, messaging): 5-10GB. For heavy use (video streaming, video calls): 15-20GB. Remote workers should plan for 30GB+.
Can I use eSIM as a hotspot?
Many plans support hotspot/tethering, but not all. Check plan terms before purchasing if hotspot use is important for your trip.
No data after activation — what to do?
Check: eSIM enabled, Data Roaming on, toggle Airplane Mode, try manual network selection, restart device. Contact your provider if still not working.
Will factory reset delete my eSIM?
Yes. Save your QR code screenshot before resetting. Check your provider's reinstallation policy — some allow reinstall, others issue single-use codes.
